I could have stored ~twice the amount of movies 720p vs 1080p. If I do many movies, there could, concievably, come a point at which I am out of space. While I'm not at a loss for space right now (9TB available on my NAS), I'm saving both the ORIGINAL rip (30 to 50 GB) plus the encoded version for easy watching and portability.
